About The Position
The EMS division of the Allied Health Department seeks a detail-oriented and reliable part-time Lab Technician to support laboratory operations within the community college system. This position will focus on equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and the primary responsibility of setting up and tearing down laboratories for EMS courses and simulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize laboratory spaces for EMS courses and simulation activities, including setup and teardown of equipment and supplies.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment, ensuring all items are in proper working order.
- Monitor inventory levels and place supply orders as needed, maintaining accurate records of purchases and usage.
- Assist with the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials in accordance with college and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure lab readiness for scheduled activities.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Department Chair promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
