About The Position

A well-established and expanding building automation contractor is seeking an experienced EMS Controls Engineer III in the Dallas region . This senior-level role is suited for an engineer capable of independently programming and designing complex waterside and mechanical systems. Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer or senior BAS specialist
Advanced hands-on experience with Automated Logic (ALC) platforms (required)
Familiarity with Tridium/Niagara, Schneider, Siemens, or Johnson Controls systems
Strong ability to interpret drawings, mechanical plans, and submittals
Deep understanding of mechanical systems and energy-efficient control strategies
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, leadership-driven approach

Responsibilities

Oversee and execute complex engineering projects from kickoff through completion
Design and program advanced waterside and mechanical control sequences
Conduct job site walks, attend client meetings, and assist with submittal development
Produce detailed Sequence of Operations and create customized BAS graphics
Perform logic simulation, QA/QC reviews, and prepare programming for field release
Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation with EMS Technicians
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Level I and II engineering staff
Collaborate with subcontractors and internal teams to keep work aligned with budgets and deadlines
Work with industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Tridium-based systems
