About The Position

The EMR Systems Analyst – HIM Support is responsible for the identification, analysis and/or resolution of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) quality control indexing, upload, distribution and/or related document processing issues.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience in the health information management field.
• Skilled position requiring two (2) years of health information management or related technical experience to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to efficiently perform assigned job.
• Candidate must have excellent PC knowledge and skills including proficiently and independently working HIM quality control indexing and upload queues, priority work queues and related time limited tasks.
• Previous HIM document processing experience and proficiency required.
• Windows, HIM applications, and hospital information system software.

Responsibilities

• The EMR Systems Analyst- HIM Support plays a critical role in ensuring the timeliness of EMR documents by means of hands-on assistance in priority indexing and uploading, processing of documents pended in upload, scanning, indexing and QA review queues and similar priority HIM work queues.
• Additional responsibilities include being a resource for less senior staff requiring assistance and/or training needed to ensure chart processing tasks are completed timely and accurately.
