About The Position

We are currently seeking an EMR Specialist for our all our Southern California ambulatory locations. This position is responsible for all EMRs within the given market utilized by the employed physician practices. Duties include but not limited to: Evaluating new practices per established guidelines. Maintaining all practice EMRs in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. Training of all new physicians and associates, developing training documentation. Evaluating the EMR performance of staff and developing additional training as necessary. Keeping current with new features and enhancements and training staff accordingly. Analyzing and implementing policies and procedures governing all electronic data entry through the employed physician practices, implementing, training and monitoring the Meaningful Use guidelines. Working with physicians on a regular basis to develop better workflows. Travel between all SoCal locations is required.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in clinical workflow using IT Systems.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and practice management solution.
  • Computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures.
  • Consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; Analysis, design, development, of educational documentation of operational system and workflow design.
  • System application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.
  • Working knowledge of clinic operational standards and quality methods and metrics.
  • Working knowledge of project management methods.
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.
  • Associate’s Degree or relatible experience in lie of degree maybe considered.
  • Current CA Drivers License required.
  • Regularly assesses the training needs of staff using interviews, surveys, observation, audits, and quality improvement data and facilitates the development of departmental training goals.
  • Consults with department directors and managers on problems that can be solved through training.
  • Facilitates training and orientation of new hires.
  • Serves as an instructor for a variety of training programs when qualified. Coordinates external professional training if needed.
  • Gathers and makes available appropriate training resources (e.g., books, DVDs, online resources) for professional development and personal use.
  • Gathers and analyzes progress and results from training programs and prepares reports on findings.
