Preventative Maintenance Technicians have a huge impact on the lives of our residents and on the overall culture of the community. This position is an invaluable part of the Still Hopes family! Below is a picture of the impact a Preventative Maintenance Technician has and what being a difference maker looks like! Responsible for maintaining the grounds, facility, equipment, and responding to medical emergencies throughout the Still Hopes campus. This position performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks, for example: changing light bulbs, painting, and repairs. In addition, this position is required to respond to medical emergencies on campus throughout the shift. Still Hopes will provide EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) training if not already certified. This is a Monday through Friday position but also requires being on-call for one weekend every eight weeks.

Requirements

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in HVAC and general maintenance; in a retirement community and/or hospital type environment
  • One year customer service experience
  • Computer experience
  • SC Driver’s license required with verified three (3) year safe driving record
  • Must be able to lift fifty pounds
  • Have capability of reading and comprehending specifications
