Position Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Clinical Applications Analyst to support the full suite of health IT systems used across our outpatient orthopedic clinics and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in all OCP markets. This role is essential in ensuring that our physicians, surgical teams, and administrative staff are equipped with well-integrated, efficient, and compliant systems, including EHR/PM, AI-driven speech-to-text dictation, Radiology Imaging/PACS, Online Scheduling, Call Center tools, ASC workflow applications, and Patient Portals. ModMed is our primary enterprise EMR. This position supports both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives across multiple clinic locations and the surgical center. The Analyst will contribute to workflow optimization, implementation of system enhancements, cross-platform integrations, and organization-wide standardization efforts. Participation in after-hours and weekend on-call support rotations is required as needed.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience supporting clinical applications in a healthcare setting, including experience with ModMed or other relevant EHR/PM.
  • Experience supporting orthopedic or surgical workflows, including integration between outpatient and ASC environments.
  • Familiarity with systems used in ambulatory surgery centers, including case scheduling, documentation, inventory management, and compliance tracking.
  • Strong understanding of imaging workflows, surgical documentation, and pre/post-op care processes.
  • Availability to participate in an after-hours/weekend support rotation.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and clinical IT compliance requirements.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication across technical and clinical audiences.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data integrity and user satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ModMed EHR/PM is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, IT, or a related clinical or technical field.
  • Experience supporting multi-site orthopedic practices or surgery centers.
  • Familiarity with clinical integration standards (HL7, FHIR, API).
  • Exposure to quality reporting programs and regulatory audits (e.g., AAAHC, MIPS).
  • Project management or informatics certification is a plus (e.g., PMP, CHCIO, CAHIMS).
  • Working knowledge of SQL scripting is highly preferred, especially for querying relational databases, generating ad-hoc reports, and supporting custom analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, ModMed Analytics, or other data visualization platforms).
