Requirements

  • Have an average to above average work record, i.e., job performance, safety, attendance, etc.
  • Be able to read English with understanding and write legibly.
  • Will be required to satisfactorily operate a forklift and pass the Forklift Safety Driving Program. Have acceptable (or corrected with glasses) visual acuity and depth perception. Will be required to take and pass an eye examination.
  • Ability to stand, lift, push, pull and carry weights up to 50lbs frequently
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently
  • Ability to handle objects and use simple and firm hand grasping frequently
  • Ability to reach forward and overhead occasionally
  • Ability to respond to alarms and signals
  • Be dependable. Display initiative and teamwork.
  • Be detail oriented and able to use a computer to retrieve information.
  • Perform basic mathematical functions. Will be required to take and pass a mathematical test.
  • Be able to lift and handle cartons weighing 50-60 pounds.
  • Be a licensed driver and may be required to use own vehicle for company business at times.
  • Be able to work any shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven Root Cause Problem Solving skills using 5 Why, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5S, Collecting & Analyzing data is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Unloads trucks of pre-printed cases, glass/PET bottles and other raw materials, accurately accounts for received material and verifies against daily production schedules, stages production runs while adhering to scheduling requirements.
  • Must maintain departmental quality standards, to include case material condition, as well as maintain adherence to production scheduling and departmental / equipment cleanliness.
  • Must maintain communication process to ensure timely and accurate adherence to production schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Follows job safety and environmental requirements and communicates concerns to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all Food Safety (HACCP and ISO) guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and areas in a timely manner
  • All other duties as assigned
