About The Position

The Job Developer / employment specialist plays a key role in helping consumers with employment barriers gain access to meaningful job opportunities. This position focuses on building relationships with employers, coordinating job placements, and preparing consumers for long-term success in the workforce. The Job Developer also works closely with case managers and clinical staff to ensure employment goals align with each consumer’s recovery plan.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in workforce development, vocational rehabilitation, or job placement services.
  • Knowledge of local workforce systems, employer relations, and community resources.
  • Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet monthly service and placement goals.
  • Compassionate, recovery-oriented mindset with commitment to client success.

Responsibilities

  • Identify job openings and develop partnerships with local employers willing to hire program participants.
  • Conduct job readiness assessments and assist consumers with applications, résumés, and interview preparation.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of consumer progress, job leads, and placements.
  • Work closely with case managers and treatment teams to align employment goals with recovery and wellness objectives.
  • Provide ongoing job retention support and problem-solving assistance to consumers and employers.
  • Participate in outreach and community engagement activities to build new employment partnerships.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of services for billing and compliance purposes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards at all times.
