About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency operating throughout Arizona. CBI provides a range of services including residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals facing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. As a non-profit, CBI is a leading provider of substance use and behavioral health programs, utilizing nationally recognized, evidence-based models. The Employment Specialist is responsible for delivering work-related services, which encompass assessment, job readiness training, and skills building for patients. A significant portion of this role, 80% or more, involves working within the community, engaging with employers, community colleges, skills centers, probation, and the criminal justice system. The specialist is also required to provide ongoing support to clients in the community after they obtain employment, ensuring sustained and meaningful work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in either the behavioral health or medical field required.
  • Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing)
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in behavioral health or medical field preferred.
  • Lived experience in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders, homelessness, family members and veterans preferred.
  • Peer Certification (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Provides work related services, including assessment, job readiness training and skills building with patients.
  • Spend at least 80% or more time in community working with employers, community colleges, skills centers, probation and the criminal justice system.
  • Utilize this time in the community to work with each client after employment is obtained to ensure ongoing supports are given to sustain active and meaningful employment.
