Samaritan Daytop Village is a nationally recognized comprehensive Health and Human Services Agency, with over 60 programs across New York City and the greater New York Area, serving over 33,000 New Yorkers annually. The Employment Specialist, under the general direction of the Program Director, provides guidance to families in transitional housing with navigating NYC Human Resources Administration systems and assists with the enrollment process for NYC ACCESS. This role involves partnering and networking with Workforce One Job Centers and other employment centers to assist clients with obtaining employment. Additionally, the Employment Specialist will complete vocational assessments, monitor client progress toward employment/vocational goals, provide job referrals, and function collaboratively as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary intensive case management team, all in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.
