About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona, including residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services for individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI is a non-profit provider of substance use and behavioral health programs, utilizing evidence-based models. The Employment Specialist provides work-related services such as assessment, job readiness training, and skills building with patients. This role requires spending at least 80% of the time in the community, working with employers, community colleges, skills centers, probation, and the criminal justice system. The specialist will also work with clients after employment is obtained to provide ongoing support for sustained, meaningful employment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in either the behavioral health or medical field required.
  • Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing).
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in behavioral health or medical field preferred.
  • Lived experience in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders, homelessness, family members and veterans preferred.
  • Peer Certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Provides work related services, including assessment, job readiness training and skills building with patients.

  • Utilize this time in the community to work with each client after employment is obtained to ensure ongoing supports are given to sustain active and meaningful employment.
