About The Position

PURPOSE: To assist persons with disabilities/disadvantages to obtain and retain community based competitive employment through provision of on-the-job training and on­ going support services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Contact employers to perform job development and job analysis. Develop and maintain productive relationships with community employers. Assist in matching participants with jobs. Conduct one-to-one training on the job. Maintain waiver compliance for all persons served by waiver funding programs through ODP. Provide support services to meet individual participant needs Assist participants in adjusting to social environment on the job. Act as an advocate for program participants in the work place as well as in the community Record data as requested in regards to training time and approach as well as characteristics and progress of participants. Maintain working relationship with OVR, support coordination agencies and county IDD offices. Complete ACRE training within the state mandated deadline. Perform related duties as requested. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare Weekly Plan (copy to supervisor by 11:OOa.m. on Friday). Participate in a minimum of 24 hours of applicable annual training Perform related duties as requested. RELATIONS: Receives direct supervision from the Vice President of Mission Services and the Senior Employment Specialist(s) Provides direct supervision for participants in an on-the-job training situation. STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE: Degree to which standards are reached Degree to which respect and confidence of co-workers is established Quality, quantity, and timeliness in the performance of assigned tasks The manner in which one's conduct reflects the high standards of morals and integrity expected of all Goodwill associates Ability to meet deadlines and respond to special requests and the desires of management. Requirements

  • Degree in Human Service field preferred, experience working directly with individuals with disabilities/disadvantages accepted.
  • Must have good work habits, such as acceptable attitude, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Must respond appropriately to supervision.
  • Must have valid Pennsylvania Drivers License and 3 year clean MVR.
  • Must have clean Criminal History, Child Abuse, and Fingerprinting Clearances.
