About The Position

People Incorporated of Virginia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Employment Services Specialist. The position will be stationed in Radford, Virginia but will also work in Wytheville as needed. This position will serve the jurisdictions of Radford and Wytheville ,Virginia, Pulaski, Giles, Montgomery and Floyd counties. The Employment Services Specialist will provide case management and services to assist TANF Grant participants in obtaining and maintaining employment. The services may include eligibility determination, assessment, work readiness, resume writing workshops, job search, post-employment activities, job development/placement assistance and follow-up. Excellent written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills with a desire to help people overcome barriers to employment and an ability to work independently is required. Requirements

Excellent written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills with a desire to help people overcome barriers to employment and an ability to work independently is required.
A Bachelor's degree in related human service field and two years of experience in counseling and case management, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities are required.
