About the position

The Employment Service Provider role focuses on providing comprehensive case management and employment services to clients, utilizing a strengths-based approach to assist them in achieving self-sufficiency through employment. The position involves conducting assessments, facilitating skills development, and collaborating with clients to create job-seeking plans and vocational training opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Complete intake screening, assessment, and documentation related to employment history, skills and abilities, vocational goals, and identifying strengths and barriers.
  • Facilitate interviewing skills development, assist clients with resume writing, job seeking plans and obtaining necessary identification.
  • Provide individual and group services based on established curriculum.
  • Provide vocational planning and training opportunities based on knowledge of local employment resources and client ability, needs and circumstances.
  • May transport clients as necessary.
  • Efficiently operate personal computer to enter and/or retrieve data.
  • Accurately prepare required reports for referral sources, funder(s) and Agency.
  • Work to prevent and resolve client/employer problems as needed.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure client needs are met.
  • Conduct employment verifications, document services delivered and conduct follow-up.
  • Coordinate and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in related field.
  • Knowledge of local employment market opportunities, barriers and trends.
  • Understanding of potential client circumstances that may impact employment opportunities.
  • Knowledge of educational and vocational appraisal techniques.
  • Experience in administering career assessments, creating career/job readiness trainings and facilitating groups.
  • Accurate, timely recordkeeping and attention to detail.
  • Ability to resolve/deescalate/anticipate crises; use crisis intervention skills relating to clients.
  • Foster spirit of teamwork and positive work environment.
  • Comply with Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest and other regulatory policies and procedures.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $39,000.00 - $54,995.20 per year.
