Requirements

• Experience in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Employ Florida and Career Center policies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer service skills and the ability to engage with diverse populations.
• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in career counseling or workforce development services.
• Familiarity with labor market information and job search strategies.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist job seeker candidates with accessing services in person, on the phone, and through chat systems.
• Assist job seekers with full registration in the Employ Florida system, including background checks, contact details, and resume submissions.
• Identify and recommend actions and services needed for job seekers to apply for job openings.
• Review communications related to center operations and respond to actions required by management.
• Conduct follow-ups and monitor job seeker candidates' progress into employment.
• Handle customer service-related issues and escalate to management if necessary.
• Prepare monthly summaries from weekly activity reports for management.
• Participate in center and countywide meetings to provide feedback and recommendations.
• Assist with job seeker training processes and conduct general aptitude assessments as needed.
• Promote services available to eligible persons through job fairs and recruiting events.
