The Woodbury, Long Island office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP a nationally recognized law firm honored by U.S. News as one of the “Best Companies to Work For – Law Firms, ” is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation to join our expanding practice. Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in commercial and/or e mployment litigation
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
- Admission to practice in New York
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Law Review and/or Moot Court experience preferred
- Employment litigation matters, including employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour disputes, and traditional labor law matters
- Federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions
- Investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, New York State Department of Labor, EEOC, and other state and local human rights agencies
Responsibilities
- Managing a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Communicating directly with clients and providing regular case updates
- Taking and defending depositions
- Handling mediations
- Participating in investigations, court appearances, motion practice, and trials
