About The Position

Orrick is looking for a driven Managing Associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group in any of its Northern California offices (San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento). This position offers the opportunity to assume significant responsibility, work directly with corporate clients, manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, argue motions, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid-level associates.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of litigation experience at a peer law firm
• Exceptional academic credentials
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Must be a member of the California State Bar

Responsibilities

• Working on pre-litigation matters
• Handling high profile single plaintiff employment cases
• Managing systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions
• Engaging in Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions
• Responding to administrative charges
• Counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues
• Taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters
