This position is essential in the coordination of Community Integration and Habilitation Services (CIHS), Employment First, and Pre-Vocation for disabled people living at Grand Junction Regional Center (GJRC). As an Employment First and Pre-Vocation Coordinator, you can expect to work with the Community Integration team to ensure CIHS Employment First and Pre-Vocational (Pre-voc) services and support are planned and scheduled to meet people's needs around employment. You will oversee employment programming and ensure it is implemented in all designated CIHS employment and Pre-voc areas. This role involves providing leadership, supervision, modeling, and coaching to Employment Navigators, Employment Specialists, CIHS Technicians, and other direct support professionals. A portion of your workday will be spent outside the office working directly with people supported, employers, and various stakeholders. You will ensure that employment and pre-voc locations are meeting the needs of people supported and run efficiently, working closely with the Director to ensure implementation of services is occurring and meeting state and federal regulations. This position will be an integral part of the Employment First Initiative, overseeing the writing, implementation, and monitoring of individual support plans (ISP) for learning and development of skills related to activities of daily living, employment, and pre-voc skills, while engaging with all internal departments, community partners, and external customers.
