Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in employment support, guidance counseling, job development, or job coaching.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage workload and administrative tasks autonomously.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, promote, and develop supportive service resources in employment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, family systems, and social backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passage of background clearance, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with low-income and homeless persons preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate support and placement of unemployed and/or homeless persons with disabilities into job training programs and employment.
  • Develop and coordinate job search support programs in collaboration with community partners.
  • Assist clients with job search activities, including preparing for and following up on interviews.
  • Monitor clients' employment plans and provide ongoing support and advocacy.
  • Maintain an electronic database to track client progress and enter case notes.
  • Network with employers to develop job opportunities for clients.
  • Conduct community outreach and make program information available to eligible candidates.
  • Facilitate ongoing employment workshops for clients, providing guidance on job readiness, resume building, interview skills, and career development.
  • Perform quality outcomes evaluations, program planning, and statistical reporting.
  • Represent the agency at community and professional organizations, advocating for the needs of the unemployed and underemployed.
  • Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
