About The Position

We partner with people with disabilities to provide support services, develop inclusive housing, and create spaces where people feel genuinely connected—not just accommodated. The Employment Coach primarily provides job coaching and retention services to an assigned group of people, working with an interdisciplinary team to deliver wrap-around supports that help people with disabilities retain employment and improve work skills. The Employment Coach may also provide transportation to and from work and must meet the qualifications of a direct support professional (DSP) and complete all required trainings.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will be a team player who responds to changes and crises in a calm and productive manner, with a demonstrated ability to provide support in a respectful manner that meets the various needs of persons served.
• They will communicate in a timely and professional manner with persons served, their families, coworkers, managers, employers, and other stakeholders.
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use MS Word, Outlook, and other technology tools used to support people with disabilities is required.
• This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent with at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities.
• A valid Maryland Driver's License with no egregious violations and no more than 2 points is required.
• Candidates must also be able to complete all required Fello and DDA trainings.

Nice To Haves

• A Bachelor's degree and past experience working in workforce development programs is a plus.
