About The Position

We are seeking an Employment Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join our Omaha office. The ideal candidate is a management-side employment law generalist with a strong balance of litigation and advisory experience. What You’ll Be Doing You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, acting as a trusted advisor to employers while also leading litigation efforts: Represent employers in employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation Counsel corporate clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws Draft and review employment-related documents such as policies, handbooks, and employment agreements Handle administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC and Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission Provide proactive, day-to-day legal guidance to clients on workplace issues, risk mitigation, and best practices Support internal employment-related matters within the firm as needed Partner closely with leadership to help build and scale the firm’s employment law practice

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing (Nebraska or ability to waive in)
  • 3–5 years of employment law experience (management-side preferred)
  • Experience with both litigation and counseling work
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Counsel corporate clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws

  • Demonstrate ownership of matters and the ability to work both independently and within a team
