About The Position

The Florida offices of Kaufman Dolowich LLP are seeking an Employment Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of strong insurance defense experience, with assorted knowledge in the areas of labor & employment, professional liability and homeowner’s associations (HOA). This position offers flexibility for hybrid work arrangements; and can be based in either the Orlando or Fort Lauderdale, FL offices. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor Degree (JD)
  • Admitted to practice in the state of Florida
  • 3+ years of progressive experience handling matters on the defense side in one or more of the following areas: labor and employment, professional liability and homeowners’ associations (HOA) or employment practices liability (EPLI) including but not limited to employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour disputes, and traditional labor law matters
  • Experience handling litigation in federal and state courts

Responsibilities

  • Managing a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Communicating directly with clients and providing regular case updates
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Participating in investigations, NLRB appearances, motion practice, and trials
