The Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of the legal tech product, and helps to deliver accurate, up to date information to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs).
  • At least five years' experience as a paralegal, with at least 3 years focused on employment and labor law.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. employment laws and regulatory requirements (e.g. FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC Guidelines) along with multi-state compliance.
  • Experience translating complex legal concepts into user-friendly language and formats.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed.
  • Familiarity with legal technology or compliance platforms products is a plus.
  • Experience working with or advising HR or compliance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer legal queries in a clear, professional, and timely manner based on SLA requirements.
  • Develop and maintain legal content, including templates, policies, how-to guides, checklists, FAQs, articles, etc., tailored to employment and labor law for HR professionals.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of legal content and data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • Monitor, track, and report on changes to federal, state, and local employment and labor laws.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, to incorporate legal insights into the platform.
  • Support legal research, documentation, and process improvements to enhance product reliability and customer trust.
  • Mentor other paralegals to ensure high-quality work and team collaboration.
