About The Position

The Employment and Education Specialist at Neponset River House is a full-time role focused on serving as a liaison between the Clubhouse community and local businesses and employment agencies. This position is responsible for coordinating the employment component of the Clubhouse, developing job placements for members, and providing outreach and support services. The role requires strong networking skills to engage members in job opportunities and maintain relationships with employers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• High School Diploma and relevant experience required
• Strong computer skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Driver's license and access to a reliable, personal vehicle

Responsibilities

• Engaging members in unit work
• Developing new job placements and maintaining existing job placements
• Providing outreach and support services for members working in job placements
• Initiating and maintaining employer contacts
• Attending Advisory board and Chamber of Commerce meetings
• Tracking employment related statistics
• Co-leading employment support meetings
• Participating in evening/weekend/holiday social programs
