This position is essential for providing administrative support to the Sr. Associate Director for Employer Relations and is part of a larger team dedicated to enhancing career readiness among students. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating job and employer approvals, managing on-campus interview logistics, and supporting various employer engagement programs. This role requires a proactive approach to fielding inquiries from both employers and students, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties involved. In the recruiting activities support aspect, the specialist will coordinate interview calendars for multiple employers, utilizing relevant technology to manage scheduling with minimal supervision. This includes monitoring day-of interviews, prepping rooms, and ensuring that all logistical needs are met. The role also involves approving employer events and managing access to the Handshake platform, which is crucial for connecting students with job opportunities. The specialist will assist in managing key recruiting services, such as Resume Books and targeted email services, to enhance employer engagement. Customer service is a significant component of this position, as the specialist will provide specialized information to students, alumni, employers, and campus staff regarding the services offered by Berkeley Career Engagement. This includes explaining policies and procedures related to on-campus interviewing and recruitment services. The specialist will act as a primary representative of the unit, maintaining strong relationships with employers and ensuring that their needs are met effectively. Administrative support duties will involve developing expertise with the Handshake career management platform, maintaining unit records and databases, and running routine reports. The specialist will also support day-to-day operational activities and troubleshoot any software issues that arise. Additionally, the role includes participating in professional development activities and contributing to a team environment that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. This position is a limited-hire role anticipated to last at least six months, with a strong emphasis on fostering a supportive and inclusive community for all students and employers involved in the career engagement process.
