Job Description: Cultivates partnerships to facilitate recruitment opportunities for university students and alumni; and oversees networking event management and ensures efficient data management and reporting processes. Serves as the primary point of contact for employers within the career office, addressing incoming requests for recruiting services, assessing needs, providing information on Gallaudet University programs, and advising on recruiting methods. Manages employer requests, internship/job postings, and approvals in Handshake or designated career portal. Monitors and manages employer relationships, tracks student placement progress, evaluates recruiting programs based on feedback, and makes recommendations for improvements. Manages department-wide career fairs, networking events, and recruiting activities, including budgeting, employer invites, registration, logistics, promotion, and follow-up. Coordinates all aspects of the Workforce Recruitment Program, employer visits, and off-campus recruiting events aimed at attracting Gallaudet University students and alumni for internships and full-time positions. Identifies and builds relationships with regional, state, national, and international employers across the non-profit, small-business, private and public sectors for recruitment of university students and alumni. Collaborates with campus partners (faculty, staff, alumni) to increase experiential learning opportunities, internships, and full-time positions for students; and develops engagement strategies for both virtual and in-person outreach among students and alumni. Establishes systematic documentation of employer-related events, encompassing career fairs, networking events, employer visits, and off-campus recruiting initiatives, maintaining meticulous records of event schedules, participant lists, feedback mechanisms, and pertinent materials to facilitate post-event analysis and follow-up. Maintains a database of information on organizations and alumni recruiting practices and outcomes at Gallaudet University. Assists with collecting and reporting experiential learning, internship, and employment outcomes, providing regular updates to senior leadership and making strategic recommendations. Compiles and reports data on employer relations activities, assesses employer relations efforts, and provides feedback as to the effectiveness of such efforts. Contributes to the creation of resources related to employment market trends, recruitment, and career advancement for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, including orientation/training for employers and supervisors. Establishes and maintains a positive and supportive working relationship with co-workers and supervisors. Demonstrates a genuine commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and participates in activities and workshops to foster continuous learning. Serves as a mandatory reporter under Title IX; and commits to completing Title IX training and other compliance requirements on an annual basis.
