STRS Ohio is seeking an Employer Account Representative to join the Finance/Employer Reporting team. General Summary: Under the direction of the supervisor, Payroll Reporting, this role provides essential support for daily employer reporting functions and helps ensure the accuracy of both member and employer accounts.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business, finance or related field required.
  • Above-average analytical skills required; ability to gather and interpret data and find solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information required.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining positive working relationships with assigned reporting employers by responding to routine reporting questions.
  • Process employer payroll reports and verify contribution data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform routine account corrections and assist with prior-year adjustments under supervisor guidance.
  • Support reconciliation of defined contribution accounts to and from the third‑party administrator, including verifying refunds and ensuring account closures follow established procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring fund transfers to the custodial institution and perform basic audits as directed.
  • Monitor contribution totals and assist with tracking 401(a) and 415 compensation limits.
