About The Position

The Regional Business Services Consultant (BSC) is a relationship-driven professional who partners with local employers to solve hiring challenges and build strong talent pipelines. This role blends elements of account management, recruiting, workforce consulting, and community engagement. You don’t need workforce system experience to apply. Candidates with backgrounds in employer-facing, client-facing, program, operations, training, outreach, or service-based roles often excel in this position. Requirements

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Experience working with customers, clients, employers, or community partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Comfort with data tracking, documentation, and performance goals
  • Passion for helping businesses and people succeed
  • This will be a regional position that is responsible for assisting employers across Wake, Johnston, Lee, Chatham, and Orange Counties
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR at least two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service, staffing, recruiting, or employer-facing roles
  • Experience in account management, recruiting, human resources, staffing, or workforce development
  • Familiarity with hiring practices, employer engagement, or employment-related programs
  • Experience working with diverse populations, employers, or community partners
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service and presentation skills
  • Professional, approachable, and customer-focused demeanor
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of local communities, workforce needs, or regional resources is a plus
  • Familiarity with labor market trends or business workforce challenges preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with employers and serve as their primary point of contact
  • Help employers recruit, interview, and hire qualified talent
  • Connect businesses to workforce incentives such as On-the-Job Training (OJT)
  • Translate employer needs into actionable hiring and training solutions
  • Coordinate hiring events, information sessions, and job fairs
  • Track outcomes and meet performance goals while delivering excellent customer service
