Requirements

  • Master’s degree with LCSW licensure required
  • Experience in counseling, social work, wellness, or spiritual care
  • Training in mindfulness, stress management, or related wellness practices
  • Experience working in a senior care or geriatric environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting team member well-being and organizational culture
  • For the safety of our residents and staff, Cedar Community requires all employees to be vaccinated against influenza, except for approved medical or religious exemptions. COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged. Requirements may change per CMS guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a confidential support resource for team members experiencing stress, burnout, or personal challenges through individual one-on-one sessions
  • Design and steward a high-quality team member journey by creating meaningful touchpoints and regular check-ins
  • Support the development and implementation of wellness initiatives, including mindfulness practices, resilience training, and staff debriefings following trauma or loss
  • Foster connection and engagement by supporting surveys, recognition programs, and follow-through on organization-wide action plans
  • Plan and deliver meaningful experiences, including milestone celebrations and recognition events
  • Maintain accurate records of wellness initiatives and provide insights to leadership on emerging trends, needs, and opportunities
  • Refer team members to internal or external resources when specialized support is needed
  • Collaborate with the Spiritual Care Team to integrate wellness into daily practice and organizational culture
  • Embed organizational values into daily interactions, leadership behaviors, and the overall team member experience
  • Support engagement initiatives, including Activated Insights programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
