About The Position

Join the Clean Energy Revolution Become an Employee Volunteerism and Giving, Communications Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll manage SCE's employee volunteer program, planning and executing employee engagement opportunities that align with Edison's corporate responsibility strategy. This includes coordinating signature events, fostering relationships with nonprofit partners and increasing employee participation in giving and service initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams to amplify through storytelling campaigns. You will lead Edison's Employee Giving Program which includes the annual fall Employee Giving Campaign, disaster relief/cause campaigns, offline donations, company-sponsored fundraising events and the employee relief fund. You will manage outside vendors, including nonprofit disbursements, IT projects, budgeting and contract management. Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in Corporate Communications within a corporate and/or agency environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field
• A passion for giving back to our communities.
• Experience in managing corporate volunteer programs and employee giving campaigns.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint and Viva Engage
• A track record of meeting deadlines and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Experienced in communicating across different company levels, such as customers, clients, colleagues and executives
• Experienced in connecting complex business strategies and impactful employee engagement programs
• Strategic problem solver, self-starter and highly creative in finding new ways to achieve team goals
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Organizes and schedules communication releases, monitors channels for feedback, and ensures that all content is consistent with the company's brand and voice
• Supports effort with managing PR risks and crisis communications in conjunction with the central marketing leadership
• Manages, monitors, and reports on the effectiveness of corporate communications efforts
• Collaborates closely with agreed upon vendors to develop joint content strategies to maximize communication efforts
• Helps capitalize on opportunities to tell success stories around major projects, specifically highlighting community investments and partnerships
• Monitors the standard key messages/talking points created for management to use for primary corporate issues when in discussion with stakeholders
• Provides colleagues and clients with media relations advice and counsel, media training, news release writing, media distribution processes and media monitoring/issues tracking
• Updates and contributes to databases of communications materials ensuring SCE's ability to deliver a fast response and plan appropriate engagement activities
• Assists with critical communication material such as blogs, OPEDS, fact sheets, web copy, and other collateral in support of the company and its projects
• Carries out media-specific key messages and Q&A's, often in consultation with other members of the Public Affairs and Communications team, senior leaders and/or subject matter experts
• Ensures the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
