Join our Human Resources team at The Oasis at Death Valley as a Shuttle Driver! In this role, you will provide round-trip transportation between the stunning landscapes of California and Nevada, catering to employee needs such as workers’ compensation appointments, airport pickups for new employees, weekly trips to Pahrump, NV, HR support, and other approved requests. You'll drive 350-400 miles weekly, ensuring exceptional service to our internal employees. At The Oasis at Death Valley, we prioritize the well-being of our employees. When you're not on the road, you'll assist in the HR office with greeting staff, new hire check-ins, assisting our housing team, and other tasks as needed, contributing to a supportive and welcoming environment. The Details: Position Type: Full-time Year-round Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks) Pay: $17.65/hr. Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why the Oasis at Death Valley? Requirements

  • A valid driver's license
  • A background check, driver’s license check, and drug test will be required.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to drive safely in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed directions).
  • Communication skills, ability to provide clear communication, in a positive and concise manner
  • Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills) and organizational skills (attention to details).
  • Complete Driver Safety courses and certifications within the established period of filling position and refresher.
  • Physical Requirements include: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme conditions which include extreme hot conditions in the Summer.
  • Be able to see short and long distances during daytime and nighttime.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to demonstrate professional and courteous behavior with all guests and employees.
  • Must be able to follow road guidelines/driving laws, ability to read signs, and alert to roads and traffic patterns
  • Must be well experienced with years of experience driving and shuttling vehicles, vans, and/or shuttles.
  • Fully understands and supports Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Provide customer service to employees and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Provides safe operation of company shuttle vehicles, transportation for employees and guests in all weather conditions.
  • To report frequently to the Human Resources and Housing Leadership team.
  • Report any motor vehicle accident, regardless of how minor, immediately to Risk Director and Management.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly vehicle, providing general cleanliness and sanitization of vehicles needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, including oil, radiator fluid levels, plug in cords and tires. Alerts management when suspected issues of vehicles arise.
  • Develops and maintains positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
