About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to safely transport employees to and from work for scheduled shifts. This role is part of a team that values genuine hospitality, trustworthiness, good stewardship, and inspired innovation. The position involves driving a company vehicle, adhering to safe driving practices, and ensuring timely transportation according to a provided schedule. The successful candidate will also be responsible for daily vehicle logging, conducting full vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of each shift, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, replenishing fuel as needed, and immediately reporting any accidents or driving-related violations to the Director of Transportation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience operating a licensed motor vehicle.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines.
  • Ability to follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times.
  • Ability to obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings.
  • Ability to use a seat belt.
  • Ability to follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy.
  • Ability to never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Ability to report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle.
  • Log assigned vehicle daily.
  • Safely transport employees to and from work.
  • Follow the schedule provided to ensure employees arrive at work and back home in a timely manner.
  • Wear and maintain cleanliness of assigned uniform.
  • Complete a full vehicle inspection at the beginning and end of each vehicle assignment/shift to include fuel level, cleanliness and any physical damage to the vehicle.
  • Clean and replenish fuel as needed.
  • Report low fuel level or physical damage to vehicle prior to driving.
  • Immediately report to the Director of Transportation any accidents, speeding tickets or any other driving-related violation.
