About the position

The Employee Service Center Associate at Rush University Medical Center serves as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and managers. This role involves applying HR policies and processes, managing HR transactions, and ensuring a positive customer experience while addressing issues related to benefits, compensation, and payroll. The associate will work collaboratively with various departments to resolve HR concerns and exemplify the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Answer routine HR policy and process inquiries within the scope of the Employee Service Center (ESC).
  • Utilize technology to support standard inquiry handling processes.
  • Provide support for all in-scope ESC services and escalate issues as needed.
  • Educate employees and managers about self-service channels.
  • Process routine employee data transactions.
  • Achieve established service center metrics and goals.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships across departments.
  • Capture accurate summaries of issues and resolutions using case management solutions.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to core HR functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a call center environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in front-line human resources or employee benefits administration.
  • Prior experience with HR Information Systems is required.
  • Experience with Infor and/or Lawson is an asset.
  • Experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex situations and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
