About The Position

The Employee Relations Specialist will support field dealerships and assist the Human Resource Director with various operational and administrative tasks related to employee relations. This role involves handling inquiries, maintaining HR records, facilitating investigations, and supporting onboarding processes, all aimed at enhancing employee relations and compliance within the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of administrative or human resource task experience at minimum.
  • One to two years of experience in the HR field or a similar combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with payroll management and human resource information systems (HRIS).
  • Ability to type 40 WPM.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical support to the HR department by maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers and fields frequently asked questions from managers and employees regarding standard policies, payroll, and hiring processes.
  • Facilitates inquiries and investigations into complaints or concerns with the support of the HR Director.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Proofreads, updates, and types documents and correspondence produced by the department.
  • Assists in the review processes for paperwork related to coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and separations.
  • Facilitates onboarding processes including collecting I-9 and Pay Plans information.
  • Reviews recruiting source data to assist managers in improving recruiting techniques.
  • Acts as a resource for the HR Director and Business Manager for various organizational needs.
  • Assists in the administration and creation of employee relations programs and initiatives.
  • Supports processing tasks related to federal leaves such as FMLA and ADA administration.
  • Facilitates and records exit or stay interviews as needed.
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Participates in corporate meetings and seminars for development.
  • Completes return to work processes, ensuring requirements are met.
