About The Position

As the Employee Relations (ER) Sr. Coordinator, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient intake and triage of all Employee Relations cases. You’ll clearly capture detailed notes, triage cases based on severity, and complete thorough research. Additionally, as the Employee Relations Sr. Coordinator you will provide First Call Resolution for non-investigative ER cases, offer recommendations for leaders seeking guidance on minor Policy and Conduct violations, and complete thorough and appropriate research for ER cases. In this position you will be required to have strong listening skills, the ability to influence without authority, master numerous applications and data sources, assess risk in the moment, and escalate emergent and critical issues appropriately. This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience working with a high level of detail, organization, and professionalism
  • 1 or more years of experience in leadership, HR, Employee Relations or a high-volume call center
  • 1 or more years of experiencing managing highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, provide in-the-moment guidance, and listen and ask appropriate probative questions

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual – Spanish fluency
  • 2 years or more of leadership, customer service, administrative, HR or office environment experience or equivalent
  • 1 or more years of HR experience

Responsibilities

  • Case Intake and Leader Support Complete Employee Relations case intake via phone calls, web forms, emails, Open & Honest submissions, and other sources from Best Buy employees, leaders, HR partners and other Requestors.
  • Triage reports and platforms Employee Relations cases by assessing severity of the issue reported and assigning cases to appropriate teams.
  • Accurately and concisely document all cases.
  • Complete thorough research for cases to make case investigation process more efficient.
  • First Call Resolution and Leadership Notifications Complete First Call Resolution cases including attendance terminations, theft with admission terminations, introductory period terminations, and others as assigned by thoroughly reviewing employee Corrective Action files and investigation materials as applicable.
  • Applying Corrective Action Guidelines and mitigating risk by reviewing ServiceNow and the active litigation report.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on Corrective Action administration for minor violations and respond to employee inquiries regarding SOP and Policies.
  • Other Tasks and Administrative Support Create, update and maintain teamwork instructions to ensure they are compliant, accurate, and relevant.
  • Monitor total ER team chat and respond to in-the-moment requests for support from caseworkers
