About The Position

This position manages the Employee Relations (ER) and HR Operations functions for TNA. The role leads a team focused on enhancing the employee experience, ensuring operational excellence and compliance, and improving HR efficiency. Reporting to the Director of HR and General Affairs, this position is part of the HR Excellence team and oversees a team of four employees. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of collaboration, initiative, and critical thinking, along with objective judgment in providing guidance, support, and recommendations to resolve employee relations concerns. They will actively contribute to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. This role requires both hands-on and strategic expertise, with a strong customer service orientation in all aspects of execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations and people management.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including coaching, collaboration, and direct oversight of an Employee Relations team.
  • Proven ability to consult, train, and guide employees and managers on a wide range of Employee Relations topics, including: Policy interpretation and application Local employment law compliance Conflict resolution Performance management Progressive discipline Employment separations
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex Employee Relations issues with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Proven experience leading complex projects and organizational change, driving operational excellence and enhancing employee experience.
  • Ability to drive results through individual contributions and by influencing others, including HR and business leaders, without direct authority.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality, diplomacy, tact, and business acumen.
  • Recognized as an objective and trusted advisor; a credible employee advocate capable of working cross-functionally and managing teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 10%.
