About The Position

The Employee Relations Consultant Senior at UNC Health Care is responsible for investigating and resolving employee relations issues while providing support for various HR functions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Four years of Human Resources experience in Employee Relations, including knowledge of federal and state laws.
  • Experience in developing proposed policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Investigation and resolution of employee relations issues, maintaining a representative caseload.
  • Develop appropriate employee relations plans and interventions.
  • Effectively investigate claims and advise employees and managers on policies and procedures.
  • Conduct follow-up reviews to assess the success of implemented resolutions.
  • Accurately document relevant contacts and issues immediately.
  • Analyze information about workforce trends and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Coordinate functional activities of specialized program areas in HR Services.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance in HR functions such as Recruitment and Benefits Management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of employee relations programs and redesign components as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of HR policies and recommend updates.
