About The Position

The Employee Health Nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center is responsible for providing day-to-day employee health services, including pre-employment health evaluations, administering TB skin tests and immunizations, and assisting employees with health-related needs. This role emphasizes customer service, effective communication, and adherence to regulatory standards while maintaining accurate health records and supporting the organization's mission and values.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi.
• Certified by the Mississippi State Department of Health in TB surveillance and skin testing (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinic setting (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice (preferred).
• Ability to operate various office equipment (computer, fax machine, telephone, copier, etc.) required.
• Good interpersonal skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in TB surveillance and skin testing.
• Experience in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-employment health evaluations for employees.
• Administer yearly and follow-up TB skin tests.
• Administer immunizations according to Employee Health practices and policies.
• Provide assistance and care to employees as needed.
• Maintain and update employee health processes such as Workers Compensation and exposure records.
• Drive the assigned company vehicle in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate willingness and team spirit to provide optimal customer satisfaction.
• Manage communication with other departments and co-workers effectively.
• Assist with projects as required by the Director.
