About The Position

Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates total nursing care for patients with consideration of their specific age needs. Responsible for the development and administration of efficient and Professional operations of employee health services in accordance with UTMC policies. Provides for and delivers health and safety programs and services to workers, worker populations and community groups. Focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury and protection from work related and environmental hazards. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professionals. Assist with all aspects of health services, competencies, customer services and quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Current LPN licensure in the State of Ohio required.
  • Current BLS certified required.
  • DOT Certification required
  • Occupational Health Nursing experience preferred.
  • FAA - Aviation Medical Examiner knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of workman’s compensation claims
  • Must be willing to rotate shifts and units.
  • Must be able to function autonomously utilizing on-site training and demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, clinical confidence and computer competence.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred.
  • Occupational Health Nursing experience preferred.
  • FAA - Aviation Medical Examiner knowledge preferred
