Employee Health Medical Office Assistant
About The Position
The Employee Health Medical Office Assistant is a diverse clerical and clinical role that serves as the customer service liaison and assists the nursing staff in onboarding post offer candidates to UHS. New candidates and current employees are greeted with courtesy and respect using exceptional communication skills. The purpose of this position is to provide our candidates and employees with a seamless positive experience while exhibiting our UHS Values. In the clinical role, the medical assistant performs new hire and employee patient care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a medical office setting to, include, but not being limited to, the collection of patient information and data, patient interactions or assisting physicians with procedures in a medical office or hospital setting.
- Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
- Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting.
- Certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA)
