Employee Health Coordinator
About The Position
The Impact You Can Make Team Impact The Employee Health Coordinator works closely with Human Resources and the Employee Health Department to efficiently on-board new employees, while maintaining accurate record keeping of medical documents required for employment. Will include GFH new hires, medical staff, adjunct staff, temporary agency employees, etc. Includes new hire chart development and out of town drug screen scheduling/appointments. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential Responsibilities Create and maintain personal and work-related medical records for GFH employee medical charts. Assist department with scheduling of appointments related to medical care. Access accident report and follow up on any required documentation needed for treatment. Complete required encountering in system for billing/data purposes. Manage termination accounts of employee records. Efficiently onboard new employees while maintaining accurate record keeping of medical documents required for employment. Will include GFH new hires, medical staff, adjunct staff, temporary agency employees, etc. Includes new hire chart development and out of town drug screen scheduling/appointments. Manage multiple compliance reports following regulatory guidelines and hospital policies. Coordinate the student shadow/internship program. This includes establishing contact with the potential student and internal contact. Onboarding clearance and education would be completed efficiently while tracking active participation. Assist with CIT class management including scheduling and maintenance of training records with the assistance of the program coordinator. Provide coverage for EH and HR at the front check in desk as needed. Assist EH manager with report generation and communication as appropriate. Education/Accredited Programs Associate Applied Science preferred Two years’ experience in office setting, preferably in a health care environment Communities We Serve Located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack mountains, Glens Falls is conveniently located a short drive away from the capital region and Lake George. Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to utilize computer systems and other resources to organize and streamline work
- Advanced computer skills (preferred)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, database programs
- Medical terminology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Two years’ experience in office setting, preferably in a health care environment
