About The Position

Our Employee Health/ Wellness Coordinator is responsible for case management related to Workers Compensation,ADA process and Modified duty, and Disability cases. Performs new hire and current team member physicals and administers PPDs, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Pneumo, TDAP/TD and Measles & Rubella Vaccines. Performs other duties related to infection control for employees and as assigned by the DON. We are always looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join our Nursing team to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care. Employee Health/ Wellness Coordinator duties include: Schedules new hires for physicals and PPDs and administers same. Verifies immunity for Measles and Rubella according to Department of Health guidelines. Administers vaccines for Measles, Rubella and Hepatitis B vaccines and those mentioned in job summary above. Maintains appropriate records for all employee health and wellness issues as required by facility policy or federal, state and local regulations. Maintains adequate clinic hours to review annual health questionnaires and administer annual PPDs or review PPD waivers. Takes employee, visitor, and volunteer incident reports and follows up with them to review circumstances causing incident. Follows up on incident reports taken during evening, night and weekend shifts. Makes recommendations to the Director of HR and in-service for safety concerns. Employee Health Nurse will document all A&I involving employee in employees notes and refer to in-service if re-education is warranted. Monitors employee incident/accident reports. Creates quarterly reports reflecting issues and trends on employee health and safety issues. Committee Chair Safe patient handling and accident and incident meetings Develop, coordinate, manage, and maintain total wellbeing programming and Brothers of Mercy total wellbeing committee to reduce health risks, medical costs and encourage healthy lifestyles of staff members, volunteers and residents. Work with vendors and HR associates to be knowledgeable of benefit programs including Medical, Dental, and Vision to be a resource to employees regarding these benefits and wellbeing programs.

Requirements

  • Active RN License: Current Registration in NY
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care, emergency room, or occupational health.
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to collaborate with diverse staff and management teams.
  • Proactive & Organized: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage employee files accurately.
  • Passionate about Wellness: A true believer in promoting health, safety, and a positive work environment.
