About The Position

As an Employee Health & Benefits Account Associate at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you will play a crucial role in managing client relationships and supporting the administration of employee health and benefits programs. This position involves a variety of tasks including client support, account management, data management, reporting, compliance, communication, training, project support, administrative support, and problem resolution. You will assist in ensuring that all health and benefits programs comply with federal and state regulations and facilitate communication between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in employee benefits, insurance, or account management is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and benefits regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to research and analyze problems independently.
  • Must have Life & Health license or obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing client relationships by responding to inquiries and providing information on health and benefits plans.
  • Support the Client Manager in the administration of employee health and benefits programs.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation, including enrollment forms and compliance materials.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to employee benefits utilization and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of employee training sessions on benefits programs.
  • Participate in special projects related to employee benefits, including open enrollment and plan renewals.
  • Assist with gathering client information for marketing and implementing new and renewal business.
  • Conduct filing, file set-up, and file maintenance in Agency Management and Imaging Systems.
