The University of Rochester is seeking a full-time nursing professional to support standards of care and provide consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care within an outpatient setting. This role involves participating in community and professional organizations to promote nursing's visibility and future. The position requires providing expert patient care, serving as a resource, and effectively communicating within the unit and service. Responsibilities also include managing human resources, developing recruitment and retention strategies, and monitoring patient outcomes. The role may involve responsibilities at the unit, program, or service level, and may include an expanded role as assigned by leadership. The position is primarily weekdays with occasional weekend and on-call responsibilities for employee health blood exposures. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment providing care and immunizations for pre-employment requirements, work-related injuries and illnesses, and employee contagion and exposures. Additionally, the nurse will oversee two clinic locations, including scheduling, staff training, and conducting performance evaluations.
