The position involves driving a commercial motor vehicle (truck) to transport and deliver freight. The driver must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with management, clients, employees, the general public, and law enforcement. Responsibilities include maintaining contact with dispatch, keeping electronic driver logs compliant with regulations, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining shipping paperwork. The driver may also assist in loading and unloading the truck and must be capable of driving up to 11 hours per day and being on duty for up to 14 hours when required.
