About The Position

The Employee Dining Cook is responsible for supporting the food and beverage department by preparing and cooking food for employees of the casino while providing exceptional internal guest service. Additional duties include handling prep work, prepares soups and salads, replenishes food items, organizes the walk in storage and keeps work area neat, clean and orderly. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Position starts at $19.10/hr and increases to $20.29/hr at successful completion of a 90-day orientation period. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Culinary training Experience & Requirements: Two years experience in line cooking for a dinner house required Experience in grilling, broiling, sautéing, and steaming Must have experience prepping red meat, fish, shellfish, poultry and pastas Must be able to coordinate cooking times with co-workers Must have a valid food Washington State handler's card Additional education and or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours Have the ability to lift 40 pounds Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment Additional Requirements: Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays All applicants must obtain a Class III B license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle. Requirements
