As an intern, your time will be divided between a core program shared with the entire cohort and specialized work, projects, and programming tailored to the department you join. The Benefits team is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for an intern in our 2026 summer program! This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience at the Harrison office, under a flexible schedule of 4 days in the office, 1 remote day schedule. We’re proud of the success many of our former interns have had when they’ve pursued careers as IMA associates’ post-graduation and see our internship program as a key talent pipeline. Because of this, preference is given to students closer to graduation, who demonstrate a curiosity about future employment within our industry.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in a program related to one of our host departments (Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management and Insurance)
  • Interest in insurance-related roles; involvement in insurance clubs or Gamma Iota Sigma
  • Students anticipated to graduate in Spring 2026, December 2026, or Spring 2027
  • Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve, think critically, and provide creative solutions

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data management and compliance auditing by organizing, updating, and validating information across Salesforce, EPIC, and other internal systems.
  • Support open enrollment season by helping prepare benefit guides, client-facing presentations, and other fourth-quarter deliverables to ensure the team is fully set up for success.
  • Work closely with highly experienced, long- tenured team members—providing a unique mentorship environment and opportunities for hands-on learning.
  • Contribute to the team’s tight-knit, energetic culture by participating in collaborative projects, team activities, and day-to-day workflow support.
