Keysight is seeking an Employee Benefits Counsel to join our Legal team. This role will provide legal support for Keysight’s U.S. and global employee benefit plans and programs, partnering closely with HR, Total Rewards, Finance, Payroll, and external advisors. The position may be performed remotely within the United States and is designated as based in Loveland, Colorado.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of experience practicing employee benefits law (law firm and/or in-house)
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, tax-qualified retirement plans, and health & welfare compliance
  • Ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable advice
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach

  • In-house experience at a large, complex organization
  • Experience supporting global benefits programs
  • Experience with benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions

Responsibilities

  • Advise on a broad range of employee benefits matters, including qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and employee well-being programs
  • Provide legal guidance on ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, mental health parity, fiduciary governance, and related federal and state laws
  • Support the design, implementation, amendment, and administration of benefit plans, including drafting and reviewing plan documents, SPDs, amendments, and participant communications
  • Partner with HR and Benefits teams on compliance testing, reporting, disclosures, audits, and regulatory inquiries
  • Support benefits committee governance, including review of committee materials, resolutions, and minutes
  • Manage and coordinate outside counsel, consultants, and vendors
  • Provide benefits-related legal support for M&A, divestitures, and workforce restructuring
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide practical, business-oriented guidance
