The position involves consulting with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, identifying and qualifying potential sales opportunities, and creating and executing strategies independently to drive consistent results. The role requires advanced knowledge of the customer industry, including terminology, technology trends, challenges, and government regulations, and the ability to match optimal insurance products to clients' unique business needs. Building and maintaining relationships founded on trust with key decision makers or potential influencers is essential, as is nurturing these relationships over longer sales cycles. The position also involves effectively utilizing all resources within the department to exceed client expectations and actively collaborating with resources outside the department to maximize sales opportunities. Additionally, the role includes representing the company at trade association meetings, carrier forums, and industry gatherings, as well as mentoring 'rookie' producers.
