We’re a relationship-driven independent insurance agency looking for an exceptional Insurance Client Services Specialist in our Benefits department to join our fast-growing team. Our Client Services Specialists play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive the service they need to properly manage their insurance policies. You are the facilitator of positive and effective relationships with our valued clients and insurance carrier staff. What you’ll do: You’ll build relationships in and out of the organization, by providing general agency support and support groups as a client specialist. You’ll provide support for agents with enrollments, renewals, surveys and helping them best assist their clients. You’ll be the first point of contact for groups assigned to you, handling their day-today questions, advocating on their behalf, and other support services. Responsible for assisting the Group Health & Benefit Producer(s) with client service needs; making and recording changes to existing accounts; maintaining an accurate filing system; monitoring the status of all submitted groups and individuals in the underwriting process;; performing essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by the agency. Maintain client files in an orderly, up-to-date manner, according to agency established procedures. Maintain database of client information including Insured, contact, address, phone and renewal date, if applicable. Maintain database of prospects and monitor the status. Maintain working knowledge and skill on all computer programs used in the department. Assist Producers with completion of applications and enrollment forms. Check for completeness and accuracy. Assist Producers with the customer service of each line of insurance. Receive telephone calls and office visits from clients and companies and comply with the request and/or refer to the producer. Maintain follow-up and suspense file on outstanding orders, correspondence, requests, claims, and follow up on overdue and suspense items. Receive and review cancellations to determine necessary action. Notify producers. Perform all actions relating to the public, customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions. Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development as directed by the Department Manager.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a professional office environment in a customer service capacity or equivalent insurance experience
  • Prior experience with insurance and/or employee benefits is preferred
